Meet the team

Recognising the need for efficient accounting administration, Rob established Cyber SMSF to create solutions for SMSF compliance and tax lodgement.

Rob began his career working for a family accounting business in 2006. The family business merged into a more prominent corporate firm where he was assigned to head up the company’s SMSF department. This role also saw him invited as a guest speaker at various professional development workshops, national industry conventions and annual conferences. During this time, Rob found his calling as an SMSF specialist.

He is known by his clients for being friendly, approachable, reliable and always professional. An attentive listener, Rob is passionate about sharing his industry knowledge and prefers to communicate with clients through face–to–face interactions and phone conversations. He is committed to supporting his business partnerships and their clients by creating and implementing best practice SMSF solutions.

A Bachelor of Commerce graduate, Rob is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). With his comprehensive experience in tax and SMSF legislation, he is also a member of the SMSF Association, Australia’s independent, professional body representing the SMSF sector. Supporting his commitment to give back to the community, Rob is also a Justice of the Peace. A devoted family man, Rob loves spending time enjoying camping and bush walking trips with his family.

Having a solutions focussed mission, Rob is dedicated to assisting accountants and advisors in getting the best outcomes for their clients and ensuring independent operators have agency over their self-managed super funds.

Ashleigh’s interest in accounting started during her high school studies. As soon as she graduated, she began work experience for a family run accounting firm while studying for her Bachelor of Commerce. Ashleigh has also earned an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Rob and Ashleigh worked together for a small family run accounting business for many years. In 2010, Rob took Ashleigh under his SMSF wing, where she really grew her Superannuation knowledge. When the business merged with a corporate firm, Rob headed up the Wholesale SMSF Business and Ashleigh took on the role of managing the Retail SMSF department of the business. Both remained in Superannuation, however split in different departments of the company. At Rob’s invitation, Ashleigh then joined the Cyber SMSF family in June 2021.

She consistently keeps clients informed with industry updates and expert advice as an SMSF accountant. She is passionate about taking the stress out of SMSF administration and reducing compliance and regulations’ complexity and confusion. Known for the friendly and helpful nature Ashleigh gives, provides her clients with peace of mind and a sense of confidence in their financial affairs.

In her spare time, Ashleigh enjoys being outdoors. Whenever possible, she is by the water with her partner, either kayaking or fishing.

Tarun’s passion for making numbers work makes him a valuable addition to the team.

With years of experience in accounting and Superannuation, Tarun is here to help clients through the complex world of Self-Managed Super Funds.

He graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and later earned a Master’s in Commerce from Griffith University on the Gold Coast.

When he’s not diving into all matters SMSF, you’ll find Tarun out exploring new travel destinations, listening to podcasts on various topics, or going for a run along the beach or in the park.

He loves sharing his knowledge and helping people understand their SMSF journey, it’s all about making things easier and more manageable to him.

Daniel has a natural passion for value through numbers and commerce. He is highly motivated and continuously strives to enhance his work, aiming to achieve the best and most efficient outcomes for the clients he serves while adding value throughout the whole process.

After graduating from university, Daniel embarked on his career as an SMSF accountant. Despite his aspirations to become an auditor, he ultimately found his way back to the field of SMSF accounting where he feels most at home.

When he is not studying towards this CPA accreditation, Daniel is passionate about sports and fishing. He enjoys playing soccer and cheering for his favourite team. Although Daniel is still a novice at fishing, he dreams of one day having the honour and skill to catch a one-meter Barramundi.

Emma brings a wealth of experience to our CYBER SMSF team as an SMSF Administrator. She embarked on her career in finance after earning her Certificate IV in Accounting. Her journey began in a Brisbane-based accounting firm specialising in real estate, where she honed her skills and expertise.

In 2016, Emma made the exciting move to the Gold Coast, where she began her role as an SMSF Administrator. Her passion lies in client service, and she takes great pride in assisting clients in achieving their financial goals. Emma is known for her dedication and unwavering commitment to providing exceptional service.

Outside of the office, Emma is a loving parent to two young children. She treasures quality family time and enjoys taking her family to the beach, creating cherished memories under the sun.
